Job responsibilities

  • Develop technical concepts for the treatment of radioactive waste and for the dismantling of nuclear facilities
  • Select and design necessary mechanical equipment/tools
  • Calculate and design components
  • Process orders and coordinate/plan individual projects
  • Communicate with other company departments and suppliers, coordinate and monitor interfaces with other engineering departments and contractual partners
  • Prepare design basis documents and approval documentation as well as necessary lists for ordering
  • Implement customer requirements taking into account contractual terms and conditions and tracking their impact on deadlines and costs
  • Assist in the preparation of cost estimates, cost control, scheduling and progress determination
  • Conduct technical discussions with customers and suppliers
  • Supervise and monitor construction sites and suppliers, take part in commissioning activities worldwide 

Qualifications

  • Degree in engineering, specialising in mechanical engineering, or a similar qualification 
  • Work experience in the relevant field
  • Construction site and practical experience would be an advantage
  • Experience with modern CAE software (COMOS, SolidEdge,..) is desirable
  • Very good English skills (CEF C1/C2)
  • Initiative, ability to work in a team, assertiveness, negotiation and coordination skills, organisational talent
  • Flexibility and willingness to work abroad (as part of short-term international assignments)
