Job Responsibilities

  • lead and manage our team of engineers during the basic and detail design phases of the projects and further project implementation phases in accordance with the customer contracts
  • oversee the technical aspects of a project team to ensure compliance with relevant main project criteria such as quality, costs and deadlines
  • coordinate the engineering project team during all project phases up to completion and handover to the customer
  • structure and prepare requirements to the design, documentation and procurement
  • check bid proposals and calculations
  • conduct technical negotiations with suppliers and customers
  • lead internal and external technical project meetings, ensure project monitoring and control
  • prepare internal reports
  • provide support for schedule planning
  • represent NUKEM's interests in front of customers
  • support our Sales team during bidding processes
  • organize and hold ‘Lessons-Learned’ events

Qualifications

  • University degree in nuclear engineering, mechanical engineering, process engineering, electrical engineering or comparable qualification and professional experience
  • at least 5 years of work experience in engineering
  • knowledge of MS Office and MS Project/Primavera
  • team player
  • leadership skills and ability to motivate others
  • strong communication and presentation skills
  • very good English and German language skills 
  • to travel internationally
  • knowledge of regulations and standards (e.g. KTA, DIN, IEC) would be an additional asset
